Description The Georgia Film Academy is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team of adjunct instructors to teach courses in Digital Entertainment, Esports and Game Development. These classes focus on hosting, casting (both play-by-play and color commentary), and control room roles for live and remote events. The courses utilize esports as the teaching medium and leverage existing relationships with Georgia's robust collegiate esports network to provide real, live-streamed experiences produced by students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and informative instructional sessions on shoutcasting and broadcasting techniques.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students to help them improve their skills.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum materials tailored to the needs of the class and individual students.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in shoutcasting and broadcasting.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
  • Utilize vMix broadcasting software to demonstrate production techniques and facilitate hands-on learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Extensive professional esports shoutcasting experience. Preferably across various game titles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vMix broadcasting software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Passion for esports and a desire to share knowledge and expertise with others.
  • Teaching experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Previous experience with broadcasting equipment including cameras, lights, and switchers is a plus, but not a requirement.


Georgia Film Academy @Trilith Studios Seeking a Post-production Camp Instructor

Dates: July 15-19 (Session 1) and/or Jul 22-26 (Session 2) 

Rate: $350/day 

Camp Hours 9-430 

Summary - The instructor will work with high school students (max 12) to edit short films and teach techniques and skills associated with post-production. Post-production campers will be working with a group of filmmaking campers as their "production house" to edit footage to be shone at the end of the 5-day camp. Post-production campers will have access to a lab of Mac computers, various cameras, and equipment for producing content for special projects.

Overall project: completed short film (3-5 minutes)Additional projects to be determined with instructor and camp organizers but could include trailers, social promos, special projects, etc.

The Georgia Film Academy is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to teach the GFA Production Accounting & Office Management course. This class provides students with a broad understanding of the processes, protocols, paperwork and computer programs utilized within the Production Accounting and Production Office departments in the film and television industry, focusing on the knowledge, practical skills and work routines required for entry-level jobs.

The course focuses on the following: the relationship between the Production Office and the overall production; the importance of the communication hub that exists between the Office, Set and Post-Production teams; and the guidelines and reporting practices that are used to track and manage the finances of a production. Practical elements are created through the use of actual production software and scenario simulations.

Experience:-5+ years of experience in production accounting, including office management, production office management, or some related experience- College Degree preferred, but not required
